Tasting Notes: A double-decocted Czech Premium Lager made with Super Saaz hops and new under-modified local pilsner malt from Field Five Farm. Aromas of fresh bailed hay and fermenting bread dough, balanced with moderate bitterness and with a smooth, herbaceous mouthfeel.

SZAMPAN PIWO GRODZISKIE

Tasting Notes: Our Grodziskie is an ode to the ‘Polish Champagne’ of old, a recently resurrected style known for its high carbonation, low alcohol and distinct smokiness. True to style, Szampan is single decocted and incorporates oak-smoked wheat from Germany, as well as locally malted red wheat. Heavily hopped with Czech Saaz and fermented with our house lager yeast, this beer presents pale and highly effervescent with a zippy natural carbonation and smooth bitterness. Feast on aromas of mesquite smoke, fresh thyme and sourdough bread with a dry finish and a pleasant minerality. Can conditioned with krausen for a champagne-like mouthfeel. A traditional beer for modern times, many centuries in the making.

SOGNO CLASSIC AMERICAN PILSNER

Tasting Notes: Sogno, which means dream in Italian, pays homage to classic American pilsners using a combination of American grown corn and six row barley along with Cluster hops, one of the oldest varieties developed in the States. Expect a full body from the ample amount of corn balanced with a crisp finish and a cloud-like head of foam from the natural carbonation. Relish in aromas of pine needles, freshly baked cornbread, and a hint of honey with a delicate hop bitterness. As a continued testament to our love of lager, we are proud to bring you our version of the American Dream.

LA FREDDA AMERICAN LIGHT LAGER
Colour: Pale Straw

Tasting Notes: La Fredda, or “the cold one” in Italian, is our interpretation of an American Light Lager. We used locally sourced pilsner malt from Field Five Farm in conjunction with flaked corn and rice to create a low alcohol and highly crushable summer slapperoni. La Fredda has a touch of corn sweetness and a cracker-like malt character. Delicately hopped for balance and fermented ice cold baby, ice cold. Expect a crystal clear pour with a fluffy head of foam from the natural carbonation and a crisp, clean finish.

TERRA RUSTIC TABLE LAGER w/ AGED HOPS

Tasting Notes: Terra, or land in Italian, highlights the terroir of British Columbia. This special collaboration with our friends Barnside Brewing, is made with 100% local pilsner and wheat malt from Field Five Farm and utilizes a locally grown experimental hop that was aged for almost two years at Barnside. This unique hop was aged specifically to produce their spontaneous beer.The whole cone aged hops were added to the mash and offer a unique and complex aroma and flavour profile that includes woody and earthy, tea-like characteristics. We paired this with a touch of their fresh Sterling hops for balance, and then we fermented Terra with a strain of Czech lager yeast to compliment the low alcohol and rustic nature of a table lager.Terra was single decocted and naturally carbonated to create a fluffy mouthfeel with a substantial head of foam. This rustic lager takes elements of both saison and gueuze to create a unique beer that is both confounding and refreshing. By paying homage to traditional brewing methods but with our own West Coast twist, together with Barnside we believe Terra is the natural connection between land and beer.
